Lactulose is manufactured according to current guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/cGMP) and meets the specifications of the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph.Eur./EP) as well as the U.S. Pharmacopoeia (USP).

Fresenius Kabi Austria distributes
Lactulose Liquid produced in the plant in Linz, Austria, formerly
known as Laevosan, and in the production facility in Vicchio del Mugello, Italy.
The plant in Italy is the only European facility technically equipped to manufacture Lactulose Crystals to EP specification.
